About the event

Come along on the Club's first Poker Run! WITH PRIZES!!!

We'll be meeting up at our usual Warrego Hwy meeting up place - the Sundowner Saloon at Haigslea - from 8AM for a 9AM-sharp departure. At the briefing, every car will be dealt a playing card from the Official Poker Run deck of cards (specially marked to avoid up-the-sleeve substitutes and riverboat-gambler-style shenanigans).

Our first comfort stop will be Lake Apex Park, Gatton - right near the "Lights on the Hill" Memorial. Every car will be dealt a second playing card from the Official deck before we choof off to our next destination.

The second stop is also a good place to get snacks and recharge drinks - the Ma Ma Creek General Store. Once again, every car will be dealt a third playing card from the Official deck. It's getting exciting, isn't it?!

The third and final stop along the route is the Thiess Memorial Park at Heifer Creek. Plenty of room to park, toilets for our comfort and, as you've probably figured out by now - a fourth playing card dealt to each car.

Our destination is next - Rudd's Pub in Nobby. This hotel has won multiple awards over the years, including Best Themed Bar in 2015 for its celebration of "DAD AND DAVE". Don't know who they are? You'll get a nice surprise when you get there then won't you, Jay 😜

During lunch, every car will receive a 5th and final card for their poker hand. Much fun will ensue as each team gets one chance to swap out up to 4-cards with the Dealer as he roams the room. This is your chance to make up the perfect poker hand to cement your chance to win the grand prize.

After lunch has settled and we're all back in the carpark, each team will show their cards. The winning poker hand wins the Prize Pool (TBD) which is estimated to be valued between $0.01 and $1,000,000 at time of writing 🤑
